The town's railway station is served by the restored Great Western Railway that runs from nearby Toddington to Cheltenham race course. In the nearby wood of Humblebee, the very woods that JRR Tolkien wandered before he created the magnificent “Lord of the Rings” Sudeley castle, a stately home is situated just outside the town.
